This fascinating stone is a mixture of zoisite (also known as anyolite) and hornblende, with flecks of ruby adding a colourful accent. It is a difficult stone to polish as it contains corundum, which is harder than zoisite, so a small amount of roughness on the surface is common. These rectangles look fabulous mixed with Swarovski beads (in Ruby of course!) and black agate or obsidian. Not all the beads contain ruby flecks, so if you prefer just the zoisite/hornblende beads just let us know by email after you have made your purchase.
