Making A Purchase
Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy to the shopping cart. After you have finished making your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be taken to our secure area where you will be asked for the details that we need to be able to complete the order.

Please note that we only ship to the United Kingdom. We are unable to process orders sent by post - if you are unable to order online or prefer not to do so, please call us on 01260 218009 to place your order.

We accept payment by credit or debit card online or by telephone. We do not accept cheques or postal orders.

All online orders are processed through the Sellerdeck Payments secure payment system. If you input your card details directly, the card details will not be viewed by anyone at Silver Moon Beads Ltd. When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted - they are not held in clear text on any web site.

If you would like to pay by credit or debit card over the phone, make your purchase and complete the checkout procedure, selecting "Credit Card payment by Telephone" as your method of payment. Once you have finished, call us on 01260 218009 and we will take your card details. Alternatively you can email us with a landline number and we will call you back. Please note that for security reasons we cannot phone a mobile number to take payments.

If you have not contacted us to make payment within two working days we reserve the right to cancel your order.

When confirmation of an order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we confirm that your order has been despatched. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable. We reserve the right to reject an order and refund any payment made.

You can see a full description of each item by clicking on the button under the photograph of the product. We try to provide accurate descriptions and are happy to answer any queries you have. Please note that many of our products are natural or hand made and inconsistencies and small flaws are to be expected. Where measurements are given they are approximate - many hand made or natural beads can vary considerably in size and shape. String lengths and bead sizes can vary from batch to batch and even within batches, so a tolerance of plus or minus 5% is deemed to be acceptable.

Any reference to gold or silver finishes is purely an indication of colour - it does not imply the inclusion of any precious metals. Only products labelled "Hill Tribe Silver" or "Sterling Silver" are made from precious metals.

PLEASE NOTE - many of the products we sell are tiny and could present a hazard to small children. In addition there may be sharp edges, especially if a bead breaks, so care must be taken when handling our products. Please be aware of the risks, and keep small items away from children under the age of six.

Shipping And Handling
Please note that we only ship to the United Kingdom. We regret that we are unable to post to BFPO addresses or to the Channel Islands.

All orders are normally sent out within two working days, usually by Royal Mail first or second class. Please note that this is not a guaranteed service, and while most packages will arrive within one to three days of despatch, some do take longer, so please allow seven working days for delivery from receipt of the despatch email. If it is important that your order arrives by a certain day we strongly recommend that you do not rely on Royal Mail but select courier delivery. We may upgrade your order to a different service at our discretion. If your parcel weighs over 2kg we may need to use an alternative delivery service, and if your order is particularly heavy (over 4kg) we may need to increase the delivery charge - if this is the case we will contact you either by phone or email once we have assessed the weight of your parcel.

We also offer a next working day courier service - this costs £9.00. Orders with courier delivery selected which are placed before 12 noon Monday to Friday will be despatched the same day and will arrive the next working day (Monday to Friday) between 9am and 6pm. A signature will be required on delivery. If our courier does not attempt delivery within the specified time we will refund the additional cost of the courier delivery - this will be the limit of our liability. Should you not be in when the courier calls a card will be left giving instructions for you to arrange a redelivery at a time convenient to you.

Courier delivery to the Scottish Highlands and Islands plus the Isle of Man and Northern Ireland is considerably more expensive so if you require a courier delivery to any of those areas, please contact us to dsscuss the options before you place your order.

During the checkout process we offer the facility to have your order delivered to an alternative address. Please bear in mind that Royal Mail can sometimes take several days to deliver items and if you ask us to send your order to a temporary address there is the risk that your parcel may not arrive before you return home. In those circumstances we strongly recommend the use of our courier service. We cannot accept responsibility for your package if you are no longer at the address when the parcel is delivered.

If any part of your order is found to be damaged when you receive it, please contact us. You will need to keep the original packaging as this may be required in the event of a claim.
Tax Charges
Silver Moon Beads Ltd is not VAT registered therefore no tax is included in the prices on the website.

Privacy Policy
We take the security of your information very seriously and we never share or sell information about our customers. We do not disclose buyers' information to third parties, unless required by law, other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment - we obviously need to share your address with Royal Mail, for example, or you wouldn't receive your order! We store the information you give when you place an order, including the products you order, as financial records have to be kept to satisfy HMRC. We do not store full credit card details - the abbreviated information we hold is not sufficient to allow the details to be of use to anyone else.

We send out an occasional newsletter, normally around once a month, which gives details of new stock and special offers. If you would like to receive this newsletter, you can opt in by clicking the link in the "New Additions" box. You can unsubscribe from this newsletter at any time by emailing us - your address will then be removed within 24 hours. We never have, and never will, automatically add customers to our mailing list - it is always your choice whether or not you wish us to send you our newsletter. As with the details you provide when you place an order, our newsletter mailing list is never shared or sold.
You have the right to full disclosure of the information we hold about you, and this will be provided on request. Please allow three working days if making such a request while we are open, and up to two weeks if we are closed.

Returns Policy
You can cancel your order and receive a full refund for any reason either before the goods are despatched or within 14 days of receiving them. The goods must be returned in their original condition before a refund can be made. If you need to return any items please contact us first so that we can issue a returns number which you will need to add to the outside of the parcel. If an item is faulty, or we have made a mistake in the description, the postage cost of returning the item will be refunded to you. If you wish to return an item for any other reason you will have to pay the cost of return postage. A free proof of posting certificate should be obtained - this will insure the package against loss in transit for up to £30. Recorded delivery is not necessary, and the cost of this will not be refunded should you choose to use it. Items should be returned in the original packaging. It is important that the correct postage is used - most of the products we sell need at least Large Letter stamps. If you put the wrong postage on the parcel we will be charged a fee when we receive it, and this fee will be deducted from any refund due. Please note that unless otherwise agreed only full strings and packages can be accepted for return.

A refund will be made once the item has been received by us. Refunds will be issued in the same form as the original payment unless an alternative method has been agreed. You will receive a refund of the cost of the item plus the original post and packing charge that you paid (unless you are returning part of a multiple item order).
